The annual ‘Excellence Tie’ Awards Evening saw 80 students receive this award.

The tie is recognition of excellence across the board; with criteria that focuses on:

• Attendance
• Behaviour
• Engagement
• Current grades v Expected grades
• Progress from the Year 10 to Year 11 mock exam.

Head of Year, Martyn Wilkie likened the students work ethic to that of Olympians, commenting that we often see the end result but not all of  the hard work that these students have  put in to achieve such success.

We congratulate all of the students who received this award and we hope it is another step in a long story of success which recognises that educational success is founded on the principles of hard work, resilience and the pursuit of excellence.
