Governor Recruitment
We are currently looking to appoint three new governors to the governing body of Wollaston School. We are looking for governors with a suitable skills set to enhance the experience and add to the work of the governing body.
The appointees will not be parent governor appointments, as there are rules about how many of these the school can appoint. They will, therefore, be co-opted governors. The governors’ terms of office run for four years. The skills sets we are particularly looking for are as follows:
- Knowledge of teaching and learning in a secondary school environment
- Safeguarding
- Financial planning and purchasing
- Premises management
- Health and safety
- Legal issues
- Links with local businesses
