Rock Challenge

Rock Challenge Success!

On Tuesday 13th March over 100 students went to the Swan Theatre in High Wycombe to be involved in UK Rock Challenge.  Competing against other schools in the area, Wollaston presented their 8 minute dance/drama entry ‘2084 – a world with everyone watching’.  Taking inspiration from George Orwell’s novel 1984, the piece was set in the future, highlighting a world where everyone conforms to Big Brother’s wishes apart from Julia and Winston who try to remember a time without being slaves to technology.  We are proud to announce that although we placed 2nd in the competition we were one of the highest scoring runners up which means we compete in the Southern Final A in Portsmouth in April.  Congratulations to all of the Rock Challenge Team, not only the performers but the crew and design teams too!
