World Book Day 2021

WORLD BOOK DAY 2021- Schedule1

Dear Parents/Carers and Students in years 7, 8 and 9,

As some of you may already be aware, THURSDAY 4th OF MARCH (this Thursday) is WORLD BOOK DAY!! For all students in years 7, 8 and 9, we will be offering a completely unique day of activities to celebrate this. I have attached the day’s schedule of events, which will also be accessible from the main school website.

To ensure that students make the best of the festival style activities and sessions, they will need to attend the relevant welcome session on Thursday morning.

These welcome sessions will hopefully answer all questions about how the day will work, but if you would like to ask anything in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to contact me via email: Woodcockj@wollaston-school.net

This will hopefully be an enjoyable day filled with stories, storytelling, song writing, poetry, illustrating, prizes and silly challenges. I look forward to seeing everybody joining in and making the best of the activities on offer! For anybody who wishes to attend the day’s Zoom sessions in book-themed fancy dress, please do! This is not essential but I can’t promise I won’t be digging out my Where’s Wally hat for the occasion. If you scroll down to the last page of the schedule document you will see that fancy dress is one of our optional World Book Day challenges and could earn students some extra points and prizes! If you would like to get started on either of the first two challenges before Thursday then please do.

Kind regards and Happy World Book Day!

Miss Woodcock
