Year 7 Residential

198 Year 7 students visited the Kingswood Residential Centre in Staffordshire.

With an emphasis on teamwork the students faced their fears by working at height, learnt new skills in activities such as fire lighting and shelter building and had to problem solve in STEM activities and the obstacle challenge.

In addition students got the chance to abseil, learn new archery skills and climb Jacob’s ladder.

The students were also treated to a hot chocolate around the camp fire and a staff sing-a-long led by Wollaston’s very own George Ezra – Mr Rees.

We also had 50+ students completing a non-residential teambuilding event. These students enjoyed team challenges, communication and problem-solving tasks, a mini boot camp and an assault course finale!

We now hope all students can use these transferable skills in everyday school life.
