The Year 9 Football Team travelled to Wellingborough School this week, participating in a rematch from earlier on in the academic year. The earlier fixture saw the team lose very narrowly to a strong Wellingborough side. As this was the first match back after the winter break I was pleasantly surprised by the focus, skill and determination shown by every member of the team! Throughout the game they played some fantastic football showing not only high levels of skill but also high levels of tactical understanding, creating numerous scoring opportunities.

Given the number of chances created, the 0 – 0 final score line is certainly misleading.

What a fantastic performance!

A return fixture will hopefully see Wollaston School coming out victorious.
