Parents’ Evenings

Attendance at parents' evening is important as it provides time to speak with your child's teachers and find out how they are getting on at school.  It is an opportunity to ask any questions that you may have and also for the teachers to explain how you can support your child with their learning at home.

We are currently using Edulink for our parents’ evenings and you will have received login details about this separately.

If you have not used Edulink before then please take time to familiarise yourself with it beforehand as we are using this to both make appointments and to run the on-line evening itself.

Edulink uses timed appointment slots and, if you miss your slot, it will not be possible to rearrange on the night.  It is also important to login a few days before so that any login issues can be resolved.

Please note that some teachers may teach several classes in your child’s year group.  If this is the case, appointments will be issued on a first come, first served basis.  If you are unable to make an appointment to see your child’s teacher then it might be possible to arrange a telephone conversation or email update at a later date.

Our once per year parents' evenings are subject parents’ evening and you should only make appointments with your child’s subject teachers.  You do not need to make an appointment with your child’s tutor.  If you want an appointment to speak to your child’s tutor then please contact the pastoral team separately so that this can be arranged.  If you do inadvertently make an appointment for your child’s tutor then this will be deleted.

Finally, if you are unable to access Edulink we will be able to facilitate telephone appointments on the evening. Please ask your child’s teacher if you’d prefer a telephone appointment.
