Sixth Form Curriculum

The majority of our Sixth Form students complete 3 or 4 A-level courses chosen from a range of over 20 subjects, but vocational courses are also popular, including BTEC courses in subjects such as public services, health and social care and sport. It is possible to study a mix of both A-Levels and BTEC subjects and, increasingly, this is becoming more common as students can create a package to suit their specific career plans.  Please consult our course information guides for more detailed subject information.

Course Information

Please find below information for all our courses. It is worth bearing in mind what grades you expect to gain in your GCSE exams. The course information should be read in conjunction with the entry requirements.

Twenty-five of the UK’s top universities – including Oxford and Cambridge universities – make up the Russell Group.  This group has produced a very useful document, laying out very clearly what sort of A-Level subjects will enable you to go and study the degrees that you want to go on to study.  You will probably already have ideas about what you want to study for A-Level.  However, before reading any of the course information below please take the time to read the booklet ‘Informed Choices’ just here.
