GCSE Awards Presentation Evening – 24th November 2016

We were delighted to meet with last year’s year 11 students at the end of last week in order to formally present them with their GCSE certificates which have now been issued by the examination boards. The evening is also an opportunity to recognise and celebrate academic excellence and endeavour by our students and about 60 awards were presented by our faculty leaders to the outstanding student performances in the subjects.

I was also delighted to invite back to school,  John Tunnicliff, the Head of Year 11 for this cohort, as our guest of honour.  John retired at the end of last academic year but returned to school to present the Head of Year’s special awards to students in the year group who had made an outstanding contribution and those who had overcome particularly challenging circumstances during the year.

I would like to thank all of our students and parents for their attendance and support in what was a truly lovely evening.
