Head’s Newsletter – 29th September 2023

Dear parents and carers.

I am extremely proud today following our open evening last night. It was pleasing to have so many people through our doors to visit Wollaston and see all we have to offer. Our students and staff were amazing and the feedback that we received from our visitors was glowing. All students who helped as ambassadors, tour guides or subject helpers should be rightly proud of themselves for a job well done- they were all a credit to the school! A huge thank you also to parents who did the pick-ups at the end of the evening making it all possible.

A special thank you to the Year 7 students who spoke – Ciara, Noah, Alex and the two Jacobs and also our Head Girl, Freya and Deputy Head Boy, Harry who all spoke with warmth and confidence about their experiences at Wollaston. It is never easy speaking to a large audience, let alone on three occasions, and all seven of our students were extremely accomplished in their delivery.

A reminder to parents wishing their children to be part of the 2024 cohort that the deadline for applications is 31st October and you must apply through the local authority in which you live.

Extra Curricular Timetable

There are many extra curricular activities are available and pupils should ask their form tutors for further information. The timetable can be viewed here

Uniform Reminder

As we are now approaching the autumn, please be reminded that hoodies are not permitted and should not be used as a replacement for coats.
